I didn’t see any of these movies. June has been such a bust for film, with the exception of Netflix/Amazon/HBO releases. Caught When They See Us and Always Be My Maybe, both were excellent!
I saw LATE NIGHT here in NY and it was a delight! I think I found it funnier than you guys, but I totally agree it would have worked much better as a show. Only problem with that is that Emma Thompson probably wouldn’t have done it.
I definitely disagree with you guys this time around on Dark Phoenix! It’s certainly not among the better X-Men films, but I had a good time watching it, much more so than I did X-Men Origins Wolverine and Apocalypse. I liked that it was simple and efficient, and careful attention was placed on Sophie Turner as Phoenix. Plus, I was all in on that introductory scene as Jon mentioned being one of the better moments in the movie because it actually showed the X-Men working as a team for once. Love the show, please keep it going.
