For our debut episode of a bonus series we’re calling Extra Milestone, Sam Noland joins us as we celebrate the 85th anniversary of Frank Capra’s It Happened One Night, which was released on February 22, 1934 and stars Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. Largely hailed as the first screwball comedy and an early precursor to the modern rom-com, this is one film you’ll definitely want to cross off your cinematic bucket list, or perhaps revisit.

Intro music composed by Howard Jackson and Louis Silvers.

This is a great idea for a series! I haven’t seen “It Happened One Night” since I was a kid (maybe on TCM?). Will definitely check it out again.

    Definitely! It’s a classic for a reason, and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed 🙂

I saw the movie on Tuesday since you guys mentioned it on the show and I wasn’t disappointed! Will is right that it kind of slowly wins you over, because at first I had no idea why this movie in particular was so beloved. Great recommendation, guys! Can’t wait to hear what you do for next month.

P.S. This is the same Really Tho from the last website. I’m sooooo glad you guys have a website now.
