Love this format. I get tired of all the tedious oscar awards buzz coverage, because it all amounts to a whole bunch of nothing. More fun to just discuss the films as you see them, not how a group of faceless hollywood insiders think at a given moment.
I was rooting for Klaus and 1917 to win big this year…

Parasite is well on its way to becoming one of the few outright classics of the 20teens. It wasn’t my favorite film of 2019 (Marriage Story, not sorry), but it just delivers in a way we haven’t seen from a film of its type in so long. Just near perfect in every respect and for so many people.
