Before we indulge in Disney’s recycle of life by reviewing The Lion King, the newest “reimgainging” of one of their animated classics, the Cinemaholics catch up on the latest details coming out of Comic Con, specifically the big announcements surrounding Marvel’s next timeline of films and streaming releases. Plus, we get into a fur-raising discussion about Cats, Tom Hooper’s live-action/CGI adaptation of the legendary broadway musical, and how the trailer possibly broke the internet. There are a lot of cats in this episode, basically.
This week’s theme music is “Remember” by Hans Zimmer on The Lion King Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (2019). Our review bumper is “Stampede” from that same album.

Hearing Will Ashton lose his mind over the CATS trailer was enough reason for me to finally seek it out. You convinced me, Will! I’m going to see CATS on Day 1, front row!
This was a great discussion all around. Curious you don’t talk too much though about Donald Glover and Beyonce. I thought their vocal performances were just…bad.
I think this was my favorite “Jon and Will” episode yet. And I’ve been listening since BELKO EXPERIMENT.
I would have skipped this episode entirely if you just talked about Lion King.
Jon discussing ten million Marvel updates!! Will’s monologue about his relationship to the CATS trailer!! This one was hilarious. I second the comment of this being the best Jon and Will episode yet. Love it when you guys let your hair down!
