With a new year upon us, it’s time to reflect back on our favorite movies of 2022. As usual, we discuss which films fell in our top 10 and why, plus we dig into honorable mentions and general thoughts on the year at large. From intimate animated re-imaginings like Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio to the long-awaited return of Todd Field with Tár, 2022 had no shortage of stellar movies to sift through. Especially if you wanted to see them in a packed theater.
